The HKMA, in collaboration with Cyberport and supported by Deloitte , launched AML Regtech Lab during Hong Kong FinTech Week 2021.
The first #AMLab brought together banks and data experts to tackle challenges of fraud and financial crime using synthetic data in a lab environment, helping participants to develop the capabilities to identify hidden ML risks using network analytics and enhance AML work.
AMLab is the next phase of the HKMA's engagement with the banking industry on AML Regtech adoption. Our aim, under the HKMA's #Fintech2025 Strategy, is to promote Regtech adoption and a data-driven approach, which will more effectively safeguard the banking system and customer accounts.
